We were impressed from arrival. From the electric buggy pickup and tour of the expansive grounds and gorgeous castle, our beautiful private villa, the delicious buffet breakfast (best of our trip – I’ve never tasted tomatoes as good!!), incredible pool and private beach / cabana. We loved our stay and it was a highlight of our trip to Sicily.
We dined in one evening and the food was exceptional and reasonably priced.
There’s a few places to eat along the beach – very close to the castle and we particularly liked Pino Verde ristorante – we dined there three times! This is a place where locals eat and the food is delicious and very cheap (€8 pizza and €12 for a seafood platter with mussels, clams and prawns). The service was a little slow but we weren’t in any hurry especially with the ocean views and vino!
We did take a boat trip that was organised through the hotel – I don’t have the name of the company but we wouldn’t recommend this. It was very expensive for what it was (didn’t include any food) and quite disorganised.
